Electronic Communications Network Service (ECNS) Licence
- An ECNS license allows its holder to construct and operate a physical, electronic communication network.
- This network can comprise any technology you choose: radio equipment (for a wireless network), copper cabling, fiber optic cabling, etc.
- Should you only be interested in providing Electronic Communications Network services like being a signal distributor for radio and TV licensees, an ECNS license alone will be sufficient; however, if you also want to provide internet services. You will need to have both ECS and ECNS licenses.
- ECNS licensees can enter into commercial arrangements with other ECS licensees to allow them to use their network for their electronic communications services.

- An ECS license allows its holder to provide electronic communications services to customers over their network or any ECNS license holder's network.

- This is the type of license held by Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
- Should you want to provide electronic communications services using your network, you must have both ECS and ECNS licenses.
- An ECS license holder can enter into a commercial arrangement with an ECNS license holder to use their network for electronic communications services if they don't want to have their own ECNS license.
