LOA is an approval letter in the form of a certificate that proves that your product complies with the minimum required safety standards. LOA stands for Letter of Authority.

Before you import your products should you import your product before applying for an LOA, your product may be detained until you obtain the required LOA for your product. You will be liable for the storage fees for the duration of the detainment.

An LOA is valid for three years. You need to apply for the renewal of the LOA before it expires if you wish to continue importing the products listed in the LOA.

NRCS's lead time for LOA applications is 120 days from the day of application submission.

The LOA will no longer be valid. You will need to apply for a new LOA with a test report that is not older than three years.
