What does ECS/ECNS stand for?
ECS - Electronic Communications Service
ECNS - Electronic Communications Network
What is the duration of an ECS/ECNS licence?
Individual ECNS and ECS licenses are issued for an initial term of 20 years.
Class ECNS and ECS licenses are issued for an initial term of 10 years. These license types can be renewed before the expiration date upon application to ICASA and payment of a renewal fee to ICASA.

- Company registration documents with all shareholding information.
- Detailed business plan.
- Network rollout plan (only applicable to ECNS)
- Audited financial statements
- Competition Analysis report
